Global Sour Grapes

Discussion in 'Blackjack Events (Online Casinos)' started by kelly_c_ritter, Jul 24, 2006.

  1. OK, I didn't complain when Global had their problems with their free roll last Thursday. So what if I advanced from my first round table, and it didn't count. I was away for a few days without Internet access, and return home to find that the free roll has been scheduled for tomorrow. I try to register,
and learn that the tournament is full. Somehow, advancing from the first round of a tournament should at least get me into the first round, shouldn't it?

Probably will be some no shows

If you show up when it is time to play, there are likely to be some no shows. I think they opened the tourney up last time 15 minutes after the start time to fill the no show seats. If memory serves me right they had about 100 of 125 show up, so there were quite a few no shows.

Hope you make it in tomorrow. Hopefully this time the bugs were fixed. The tourney Sunday went without any problems as far as I know. Some people might have had individual connection issues, but the servers ran fine.

My problem was the cards didn't cooperate...

My only blackjack with $10 bet, dealer blackjack with $500 bet...

    :D

It would be nice if the people who did advance from last time got a bye. There are at least 39 others of us in the same boat as you.

We didn't register any of the old tournament's players into the new one because we could not know if they will be free on Tuesday and did not want to block seats for other players. Normally it should be no problem to register at 18:15 because on each freeroll there are players who won't join, but to be fair, I've now registered all players who have already qualified for the Thursday's second round.
