Having won almost all major Tournamnets this year on get21 i will obviously be sad to see what was a great site go, I got this email below from support this morning so looks like there Sister site goldenpalace will still run Blackjack tournaments using the same software , the games were always the same but slightly different skins( bit like bet21 and Ultimatebet) so should make no difference to players although i always played via get21 so if their are any differences am sure someone here will tell us!

We regret to inform you that Get21 will cease its operations as of July 15, 2007. This is only for Get21 and not for Golden Palace Blackjack.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in Get21.

Please feel free to contact us at
    http://www.get21.com/customer-support or directly to ?
support@get21.com if you require any assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Keyla

    You know what?

Had Get21.com decided to allow US players to play, like Bet21.com does, then I PROMISE YOU THIS - THEY would still be in business. Oh well, you HAD you chance :p

    Seems like Golden Palace

will be offering an enriched schedule of BJ tournaments, if the chatters on Get 21 are right.

I went on that site for the first time today to get some info and saw Ken Smith picture. So I think I'll join.

Not in Canada, you say? Why?

Downloaded Golden Palace, gave my personal info to play for money, then they tell me that Canadians can't play.

I called their CS to know the reasons why. They tell me they have an agreement with the Canadian governement applying only to their site? Does anybody know more about this? Info would be appreciated

Canadians are not citizens of the USA, the UEIGA does not apply in Canada? What are the fears of Golden Palace about this?

is this a change in policy

Went back to Golden palace todays to se if any Big tournamnts had been added since Get21 closed (No I'm afraid) but under tournamnets found this notice is this a change in policy I wonder, As before Get21/GP both barred all U.S players from entering tournaments.............

Skill Gaming is LEGAL and NOT Gambling
Unlike casino games (which are mostly games of chance) your chance of winning one of our games is directly related to your skill level in that particular game. For instance, the more trivia you know, the better your chances are of beating the other players in the Trivia Challenge tournaments. As a result, SkillPalace operates within the legal gaming framework of the respective states.

I found the statement you mention by going to SkillPalace.com. Were you redirected there from Golden Palace or something? I'm having a hard time understanding your post.

OK, here in the US, we can't accomplish that. When we try to go to www.goldenpalace.com, we instead get redirected to www.goldencasino.com, a completely different online casino.

think your right though, the link on their homepage for skill games does goto skillpalace, you could try http://www.goldenpalacemobile.com and see if that lets you click on skill.

Yes, that works, even in the US.

One more note: Please uncheck the 'automatically parse links in your message' option when you are posting a message with a link to an online casino. Posting links directly to online gambling sites is prohibited here due to the UIGEA. I know, it's silly.

    Old news?

Just got an email from Golden Palace saying that they have ceased operations on the 5th Aug and they where sending me a cheque for my outstanding balance. Not suprised one little bit, I could rarely get a decent game there and they never resolved the "collusion issue".

    Cheers

I'm also not surprised, I looked on there a few times after Get21 closed but with just sit n go's and the No overlay mtt's nobody was playing.

I did make contact with Get21 in there closing days to make an offer for site and software as thought had potential if directed correctly, if nothing else would have been a nice tool for hosting private online Tournaments, But got a reply to say they were not interested in selling at present time as where not ruling out a relaunch in the future.
