I was talking to Eric Woods (Tulsa Cherokee casino) today and I made a suggestion to him about awarding the over all player of the week a prize during their week long tournaments in May. This is something I was planning for the TBJPA events I'm going to host in Laughlin at the River Palms May 10th - 13th.

Well Eric told me he was already thinking about doing just that. Now it isn't confirmed yet, but it is a great way to have players come in early and stay till the end knowing that they have a chance to win additional prize money with their over all play over the course of all the tournaments.

I'm not sure how Eric is planning to grade the Tulsa events, but the Laughlin tournaments will use the TBJPA ranking system listed below:

1 - points for winning round one

2 – total points if you win round two

3 – total points if you win round 3, (If needed, based on entries)

4 – total points if you win round 4, (If needed, based on entries)

    Finals

    6 - points for 6th place

    6 1/2 - points for 5th place

    7 - points for 4th place

    8 - points for 3rd place

    9 - points for 2nd place

    10 - points for 1st place
