Hi everyone, brand new to the site here. I've played 21 quite a bit in NV, only couple times at local AZ casinos, just never got into those places much. Then.. started watching GSN, I really enjoy both the world series tourney show & the celebrity blackjack; noticed in the players' intro, they were qualifying at American Native casinos all over the U.S... I thought, 'hmmmm', did a google search, came across this. Pretty cool. Anyhow, wanted to say Hello; I look forward to obtaining info, and otherwise sharing with y'all. I had no idea tourneys took place all over, including AZ. Guess I'll be frequenting the local establishments a bit more often. Ok, I'll start looking over the message boards, get myself acclimated to the site :)

Welcome to the realm of BJ tourney's. My personal opinion is that you've made a great choice.

As far as latest info in the event calendar - Ken and the staff here are top notch.

Most members are VERY helpful and friendly.

If you've got questions - ask away. No question is silly or stupid (ok I admit some of MINE are - but that's another issue! )

Glad you're here. Don't forget about the multi-table tourney's at Global and BJ21 too! Great practice before going to the casinos

Thx for the greetings! I'm not generally big on message boards, seen way too many internet strangers engaging in text fights, & the 'fine art' of trolling lol. However, (& I realize nothing/nobody is perfect) this site def has better decorum, w/nice touch of class :) . Great, since 21 is an area of interest to me. I'm in the metro PHX area, & there are plenty of Native casinos. For a long time, live table games weren't allowed (my preference), so I never really thought about 'em. That finally changed; & now including tournaments. I'm excited to possibly enter a whole new realm of play, & will need to get up to speed on the subtle differences of tourney rules.

fgk42, are Global and BJ21 references to websites? I appreciate the tips, prior to hitting the casinos. I did note the event calendar; very helpful! Uh oh, I'm getting the itch. Time to remove the cc's from my bag, & see what $40 seed money can net me ;) . Not enough to make a NV junket worth it; but even if I blow it, at least it's a nite of fun & ez drive home from a local.

Very Best of Luck to all! I know I'll learn alot here.

Lady, yes they are. The sites are:

    Blackjack21.com and
    global-player.com

The first site - blackjack21.com is EXCLUSIVELY tournament BJ. I believe, and I could be wrong, it is the ONLY internet exclusive BJ site. You can play for FREE, assumming that you log on when other players are present. It is rather new and their customer base isn't very big. I am overally positive on the site with the exception of them allowing certain connections [see other threads]

Global-player.com is the "granddaddy" of the tourney BJ sites, as far as I am concerned. They have regular Wednesday multi-table tourney play and most posters here play at that site.

Finally there is the AOL site, thank you Pat, but since I've only been there once I do not feel qualified to comment.

Welcome once again lady to the world of tourney BJ. BTW if you want to know really helpful and useful information remember this motto: If you want to know - Just ask Joe! ;)

If you read enough of the posts you'll see what I mean. Best of luck and happy betting!

Hey thx, I'll def check out those sites. The free play sounds like good practice. I came across an AZ thread, the poster entered a local tourney & placed 3rd for a decent chunk of change :) , & evidently 1st prize was 10k.
Sweet; & what I'm liking, is the idea of competing w/the other contestants, as opposed to against the house. Here's to fun, & hopefully winnings!
