Tonight Ken S. has the greatest line I've ever heard on the WSOB.

I don't want to give anything away, but the line is:

"Three max bets and three double downs!"

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I heard him say it....LOL

That was a great "MIND GAME" Ken.

I won't say anything else until after the west coast gets to see the show.

By far the best line I've heard on the show...LOL

    TX,

See what happens? Didn't you say earlier that this season wasn't "up to snuff" with the other seasons? All it takes is one little snippet to make it memorable!

Still not crazy about this years production

So far we've seen 9 shows and I mentioned I liked Ken's line from last night and that makes the entire season better?

I like the WSOB or I wouldn't watch it, I just made a comment that this years show wasn't as good as the first two years to me.

But I have to admit Ken's line was "GREAT", it was half con and half begging and he said it with such a straight face, it was a hell of a try Ken.

That could only have worked with the cards or in this case card (DD) dealt down.

Who say's their is no bluffing in blackjack....LOL

I really thought it was going to work, but maybe I pushed Randy too hard with that line.

    Missed it by that much...

Ken, we were pulling for you! After reviewing the show, what, if any, changes to your strategy would you change?

    Randy

I thought it was interesting his play changed towards the end of game. At first Randy was loose almost waiving a white flag. But at the end he actually played pretty well. He made a game of it. Also, the younger Tommy and his max bet leading up to KO. Put the pressure on the table. One more, I got a kick out of Randy trying to hub Kami after her lucky ace, but she would have no part! LOL

    Good try Ken.

I'm fairly happy with my performance. I managed to position myself in the lead for the final hand, and then I had a situation where everyone made the same bet on the last hand. What happened after that was pretty much out of my hands.

Obviously, if I knew that Randy wasn't going to double behind me, I would have surrendered instead. But I remain convinced that doubling was the right play for me. It appears that he seriously considered doubling as well, and I would have been a big favorite then. Even after he didn't, I had the dealer bust regardless, and if I caught a good card I was in great shape.

During last night's broadcast, I was in the middle of an event at Blackjack21.com, and it was tough to pay close attention to the show. I'll probably have another look at the episode in a day or two to see if I have any interesting insights.

Yeah, I originally thought Randy was a bit more pliable than he turned out to be. Tough break with the final hand!

    Great Game

Well, as I have a DVR, I did not get to watch until last night. The game was a nail biter to the end. I was rooting for Ken, but I must admit Kami is more fun to look at.. :)

I guess my 'horse' in this race, now that Ken is out, will have to be Kami. She was runner-up last year.

I think the commentators jump the gun with their comentating. I remember one round a player was dealt an Ace for the first card and the second had not been dealt yet and the announcer said so and so is safe... How can they say that without seeing the second card? I think they need to wait for the second card.
