Checked the brand new tourney listings. It looks like this one is supposed to happen this Wednesday. Anyone know? How about starting time and some more format info.

    Mini?

The GVR mini will be this Wed. at 2:30. Entry is $25. They just held a small VIP BJ 12th - 14th.

How does GVR rank in player hospatality? The series makes it look quite appealing.

    Wonderful

They were great, but remember 95% of the players were newbies to tournament play. So you have to over look the add or subtract an extra chip now and then (early anyway.)

I did suggest to David (Tournament Director) that the players deposit their own cards for wild card drawings, we wasted 15 - 20 minutes drawing names of no shows or players that already advanced.

Very nice little tournament, I love the casino and hotel (my pick for best place to stay in Vegas.) The staff was very nice along with most all the other players. Only problem was I lost...LOL, the players at GVR are not affraid to bet. We started with $5,000 in (no cash value) chips and by the 7th hand one player had $35,000. Had the dealer been hot I would have won the table by the 10th hand (O'well, woulda, coulda, shoulda!)

Casino very quite and laid back, coinless machines really make a differants. Very nice little high limit room $25-$50 minimum (on Monday-Tuesday anyway) only four BJ tables hand held Dbl. deck - 6 deck shoes. No more then three players on any of the tables that I ever saw. Another nice thing was I never saw anyone jumping in for only one hand.

May not be the best BJ games in town, but all and all I'd drive to Henderson to play over 95% of the other places, just for the peace and quite while playing.

    No dribbling?

    TxTour,

Do you mean not sliding in a bet into the betting circle or something else?

    Nothing bad

The players didn't do anything really bad (no sliding chips), They just didn't always put them in at once.
