We get opportunity posts. We get advantage posts and watch out for shennanigans posts.

And while, I wasn't a part of it, I'm surprised no one has posted about this past weekends Aladdin tourney for $70,000 comp chips.

Going in, everyone believed the payout was multi use comp. Half way through the tourney, they were informed they were one time use. So...."up jumped the devil" or can you ever believe what a casino tells you?

    And....sorry..

For two succeeding posts without a reply in the middle.....But, getting my ducks in a row is like wrestling a greased pig.

Anyway. IP tourney was promoted at $20,000 first place, based on entries. Obviously didn't get entries and rebuys to pay $15 and change for first.

But at least in their promotional fliers they stated based on entries. And they still go over the top on the banquets. Just wish they'd at least serve coffee on Sunday morning. Ha Ha

    Bate and Switch? Maybe

Comment: This must have caused quite an uproar. From the casino's point of view, this cuts their payout cost by about 1/2 while still keeping within the letter of their commitment. More casino shenanigans. Surprise, Surprise.

Question: In the past, did they pay in "multi use promo chips"?

Sorry, I can't answer. Just know from three participants that that was what happened on this one.
