I have had several players contacting me about possible ride share down to Laughlin with other players going to the TBJPA events next month. Any players wanting to share a share or rent car to cut expenses please post here, the date and time you'll be getting in and see if we can't work up some car pools for you.

Tuesday 8th arrival I am coming in two days early for all the preperations. I'll get in around 12:00 noon on the 8th if anyone esle is coming in that early I will have space both going and coming back.

Las Vegas International I guess all of you are talking about flying into LV and then driving down to Laughlin? That is about 95 miles on pretty good road now. You can't get lost. Phoenix-Sky Harbor is about 200 miles as an alternative. The Southwest Chief Amtrak train (Chitown-LA) has a thruway connection to Laughlin in Kingman,AZ. Mid-May is a nice time to visit Laughlin...and southern Nevada.
Dollar rental car discounts I just found the discount code 478 for Dollar rental car. It saved me over $34 dollars on a weekly rental of an intermidate car in Vegas for the Laughlin tournaments. Hope it can save you a little money.
Tip on Vegas rental cars This worked amazingly well for Deb and I when we arrived for the Palms event. We had 5 people, the fifth a very last minute addition. And we'd rented a compact car - yikes! As we walked through the Alamo garage to pick out a car, I advised everyone to stay together so we'd look like a group. An Alamo fellow came strolling over, asked what size car we'd rented, and promptly upgraded us to a mid-size vehicle - for free. I slipped the guy a 10-spot for the favor, and he seemed amazed. A last-minute upgrade through the website would have doubled the cost of the 5-day rental.
