Look at the difference in the view from my front porch. One pic is about 7:00 in the morning on Christmas Day. The temperature was about 0 deg. F. The temperature started rising that day. Since then unseasonably warm temperatures, rain, fog, and wind have done their work. The other is about 2:00 in the afternoon on Dec 29.

    Good Pics

Nice pictures man! They didn't tell us global warming would happen this soon. Next week we'll probably be buried again.

The big meltdown happened here, too. Problem is, it has been accompanied by winds of nearly hurricane force (68 MPH) which brought down huge trees all over this S.E. corner of Michigan. Power lines came down with those trees, now there's repair crews from as far away as Kentucky helping to put things back together. Debris from all of this has clogged many storm drains, flooding roads which then freeze over at night. Hoo boy, we're having fun now! :p

    Hoo Boy

Hoo boy for sure. My big BJ-VP trip was cut drastically short as I was force recalled to deal with damage caused by the wind and moisture. My wife is very angry but there was nothing I could do. My long expected trip dissapeared before my eyes.

It was 84 degrees in Dallas on Saturday. My sons went swimming. Monday morning we had freezing rain. It was right at 32 degrees all day, and we accumulated about an inch of rain. Everything is frozen, the trees, poles, power lines, except the ground. Before anyone starts to feel sorry for us, from 5:00pm until now, 6:30 am, the temperature went from 32 to 39 degrees overnight. Welcome to weather in Texas.

    Come on Rookie....

Give this guy a break! He was only trying to provide other options for some of the members here who desire the opportunity to discuss politics in a "no holds barred" environment.

Also. How does one "almost spam" someone else??? LOL

    Somebody Fooled Mother Nature

Well, it took a couple weeks, but it's not nice to fool Mother Nature, and now she's pissed. We're supposed to get wind chills down to minus 35 by Friday morning. This is a pic of it snowing with a below zero wind chill this afternoon - that's actually pretty rare in these parts. The big piles on the right and in front of my house are made by a bulldozer clearing out the cul de sac.

    Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr..............

I am on vacation this week. Just woke up and looked out the window. It's 22 degrees BELOW ZERO on the thermometer. Turned on the radio and they said it was 51 BELOW, with the wind chill! It's colder than a kiss from your Mother-in-law!

For all of you Southern wimps :)laugh:) who cannot relate to what we've got here, chew on this fact for a minute.......

The temperature setting in the freezer of a typical residential refrigerator is zero degrees. It's -22 outside at Schultzy's.

We're having a comparative heat wave here. Only 5 below zero!

    Enough is enough!!

I just looked outside and saw alot of ice crystals on the deck. Hmmmm, something didn't seem right, so I walked outside only to find that a pipe in the hot tub burst!! :flame: In October, I fell on my way to the hot tub and ruptured my quad tendon and now this! Why did Peggy take her BJ winnings and buy a hot tub? If only she would've listened to me!

Screw this, I am going to the casino!

That means you don't dare leave your ice cream outside because it'll freeze hard as a rock. :yikes:

It was 41 below at International Falls, MN last night, that is considered the coldest city in the US. The good news is at Grand Casino Hinckley it was ONLY 34 below zero!

The casino was really quiet too!

Check out the video of a guy in MN pounding a nail with a frozen banana!
