I notice that I'm the only attendee shown on the event calendar at this point. It must mean that my chances are good for winning the 12k guaranteed for first place being this is only 9 days out--------------no???????? The fall color in the UP should be near (or at peak) which really makes the drive more enjoyable! Billy C
I enjoyed meeting many of you at Sault Ste Marie earlier this summer and had planned on coming to St Ignace, but other commitments have since derailed my plans. Best of luck to everyone!
That was my fear. I've also been told that a fellow named Duy Tran may be there and his resume tops even Lefty's (not sure that's been proven). Think I'd bet on Lefty! Billy C
Ignace I will not be playing in the tourney but I should be there Saturday Night after the tourney rounds are over. This will probably be a "suicide run" for me so if you see me at the table check it out as fireworks as pretty much guaranteed.:yikes::gun::bomb::whip: CP
Report from Ignace Wasn't a great day for BJT.com folks, but then quite a few of our regulars didn't make it to this one. Mrs. "Mr.Pill" made it to the final day, as did Jonny21 and myself. Quarterfinals ensue this morning (2 of 5 advance from each table), then semifinals (1 of 4). Final table of 7 almost immediately after semi.
Glad you did well wherever you were, CP. It was yet another horrible Ignace event for BJT.com folks as the only 3 of our players to get past Saturday all went out in the first Sunday round.
Lefty So very sorry to hear that. Could you give us one of your legendary reports on how this tournament went this particular time,,,Cheers and Jeers? CP
Thanks, CP, but not this time. Perhaps after the upcoming Meskwaki event. It'd be tough to find many "Cheers" for the Ignace event. While it used to be one of the best deals in the country, they've slowly downgraded the tournament package value to the point that it's just not so good any more. The tournament staff is professional, friendly, and they run an excellent event - but the rest of the experience hasn't been up to that standard for some time now. The BJT at the Sault has the same package but the overall experience is so much better that it boggles the mind to realize the two casinos are owned by the same Tribe.
