Awhile back, I asked this group for help in getting some tournament practice online because I had been invited to play in a TV tournament being filmed in Aruba in late September (recently changed to Vegas in mid-October). However, before I could get started on my practice, I was "dis-invited" because those who make the final decisions thought I was too old!!!! Darn - I've had two $10,000 face lifts and since I've grown older and gained some weight, my boobs are much bigger - and I don't always wear turtlenecks! But I guess that still doesn't attract the 18-35 lust-filled male audience they are trying to attract and hold! Oh well!!!! But I want to thank everyone who offered so much helpful advice. I have put online play on the back burner for now, concentrating on finishing my LAST book and trying to get into at least semi-retirement!

Jean-disinvited Well and wow/ What happened there. was it the complaining by someone else, or was it the cutthroat TV producing. For all the average players, who think they're good enough. You might be. But unless you're photogenic and can dance to the organ grinder. don't worry about the tv until you prove yourself by kicking but in a couple of big events and establishing a name. Otherwise, you know, there is something to be said, for staying under the radar and taking your one or two hundred a time, still getting your comps and having a paid for weekend. always, be careful of what you wish for.
BJFAN4 Check Around BJFAN4 next time you are in a casino check around and look at who the majority of people playing at the blackjack tables are.Males ranging from the age of 25 to 50 .If you didn't know, that group is the beer and hotdog crowd .What group do you belong to the Tea & Cookies crowd. :laugh: .Now if the Classic Movie Network decides to televise a BJ Tournament I'm sure they will contact you as you seem to fit that market segment.
