Intercasino is having a month-long Single Deck Blackjack tournament this month, with $5000 in prizes. First place pays $3000, Second place pays $1000, and 3rd through 12th pays $100. The entry fee is $25, and you can enter anytime this month.
That event was last month, but there are often similar events held. I'll get this month's list together and post it. The format is not much fun for players like us though. You get a set amount of time to play, usually an hour. You can use up that hour of time whenever and however you like during the month. Your score is your total chip count. You don't have to play any set number of hands. In fact, if your starting chip total was enough, you wouldn't have to play at all. The fact that it lasts a whole month is meaningless. The interesting part happens in the last two hours or so. Keeping some of your time left to maneuver late is helpful. However, these events are usually won with very large totals. You're more likely to run out of chips, time or both before you catch the leader. So, there's no effective strategy other than bet big and win lots of hands. Still, because some players won't bet aggressively, and other players will use an inept playing strategy, there's an advantage for a solid basic strategy player who knows to bet a lot. I've won several of this style tournament online, and Walt H has won several as well.
Blacklist I noticed from TX's recent posting that Intercasino.com was blacklisted. How does that effect tournament play? IG
I may be better off removing TxTour's list entirely. Intercasino is another of the absolute best online casinos. It's probably the second most popular online casino in the world, and I've never heard of anyone having the least bit of trouble with them. I think the source of that blacklist is the same group who have several sites denouncing the Cryptologic software makers, whose software is the technology behind Intercasino, Sands, and several other very reputable sites. Apparently, this one person has an axe to grind with them. I've heard several reasons, but apparently it was a business deal gone bad, at least in his opinion.

I don't play any internet casinos I just though it could be useful to others. Ken and Walt have posted no problems with a few of the sites on the list and they would both know better then me which sites are good.
