    Invited Tournaments

How much play does it take to get included in an "invited tournament" I understand it would vary but a rough idea would help.I am going to Vegas next month and wanted to log some time in

    Casinos differ on limits

Pittfan each casino goes by differant amounts to get invites. Check with a casino host at each location for guide lines to get invited. General rule is 4 hours play per day at (ask for avg. amount needed).

Harrah's/Rio are very good about hosting several tournaments and give-a-ways every month once you get to Platnuim or Diamond cards. I believe Plat needs $75 per hand avg. and Diamond needs $95-100 avg. once again check with a host.

Stardust avg. is around $45, and host blackjack tournaments about every quarter. Flamingo needs around $100 +, Gold Nugget has two levels one around $75 + and the other $200 +, Ceasars, Ballys, M. Bay, MGM, and other bigger properties require $300 +.

Which casino are you most interested in? Just call them direct and ask for a host and tell them what you want and ask about their tournaments.

Hope this helps you out, you can also play in mini-tournaments most everyday of the week while your out there if your interested.

I would also add that sometimes casinos seem to have some hybrid type tournaments with a sliding fee scale where some invitees play with no entry fee at all while others have a minimal fee and still others have a higher fee. Some of these tournaments allow on-site registration just before the tournament begins if enough invitees don't participate. If you are an on-site register, you will pay the highest fee.
There don't seem to be as many of these type tournaments but I have played a couple.

    LV Hiton

The LV Hilton host several tournaments like this, free to big players, $199 for medium players and $299 for everyone else.

I have no problem with this format, I think it is more then fair for all.

If Oklahoma (indian casinos) would have done this they could have still had table games. They only gave free spots to players with 45 hours per quarter free spots into their tournaments although everybodies money was used for the prize fund they only aloud that few amout to play. Had they aloud everyone a chance by paying an entry fee based on the time they had in they could have still been playing table games.
