The BJ tournament scheduled for 11-13 July at IP is not the bargain that we have gotten in the past, from this casino. The prize structure is 50-50 cash and promo chips, for 1st through 7th place. As recently as last year the cash payout for 1st was 70 grand plus promo chips (I THINK JOE P. won that tournament. Each tournament that followed ( a total of 3) had less of an EV than the preceding tourney. The rebuy rounds were added to the total purse but were distributed as promo chips, thereby losing approx 50% of the true value. The IP is hosting tournaments quite frequently, (3rd since March) and for this I am grateful. I only wish the EV was as good as in the past. The July tourney is listed as an invitational but I think anyone interested, can buy into this event. Wanda (my beloved spouse of 46 years) received an invitation for a 190 buy in and she doesn't play BJ at all.
