just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with the customer service (email replies) from barona? i have sent 5 emails within a 2 week period, without a reply. i have called them a couple of times without satisfaction.

thinking of going there in april. if this the customer service that they render, maybe not.

    thanks for any help.

I have trouble with customer service at about 100% of casinos and emails are worthless efforts. But, at Barona ask for the supervisor which might help. I see Ken updated the schedule today and see it now says entry might be lowered to 250$. Im sure my opinons are obvious on this point, lowering this entry fee is a very good idea. I hope you and Leah decide to make the trip. For me that would be one more reason to go. It might even over power my fear of Joelouie making me wear yellow underwear as he threatened to do. :D

    Prize Money

I recieved a letter in the mail from Barona, and from my understanding they also cut the purse in half. :( With the cheaper buy-in, it will probably allow more of their local play to buy-in.

    Flea Powder

Almost all of the locals will play. There is one local player waiting for the entry fee to drop to around $ 5 before she or he will find value in the tournament. If you lay with dogs you are bound to get fleas. So if you see one player wearing yellow underware and scratching stay very far away.

    I dont get it

Actually, the first event was said to have 294 players which is a solid number for a high buy in game. My guess is Barona is limiting their exposure to paying entry fees for its high rollers as per their promotion. As you say stubbs this should draw in more locals and thats is good for the host casino. But, I would think this will bring more players and that could saturate the EBJ! I hope they can handle more than 42 starting tables.

Or, maybe with all the wildcards in the first event they were actually well short of the player pool they desired. If this is so and they do fill to about 400 maybe no wildcards. I think they should define the wildcards rule before hand. Even is its saying "if we get 400 players no wildcards"

Could you imaging traveling to Barona paying 250 plus travel cost and getting eliminated on 8th hand. eL Stinko.

    NegativeNegative

Can you imaging traveling to Barona winning 20,000 plus a 10,000 seat into the Tournament Of Champions.

What difference does it make what hand you lose on in a tournament, most players lose and thats how a final table happens. How about a post without some sort of negative message just once in a while.
