This is a spin off from "Last Hand - 2 Advance". The situation is as follows.

    Player................BkRll..............Hold..............Bet

    Allen..................4000.............2000...........2000
    Baker.................3025..............2100..............925

This time Baker has a smaller bankroll than in the previous teaser.
Now Baker holds back 2100 rather than 2200 to bet 100 more (than if he held 2200) but still keeping the low.

The cards are delt and the situation is as follows :

    Player................BkRll............Hold................Bet..............Cards...............Action

    Allen..................4000............2000............2000..............10+8.................Stand
    Baker.................3025.............2100..............925...............10+7 + 3
    DEALER................................................................................8

This time Baker knows from previous example to hit to 19 or bust and hits and gets a 3 for 20 and stands.

What are the mistakes in this example?

Allen should have bet 950 and keep the low.
After Allen bet 2000, Baker should have bet 1000 to be able to advance if he wins and Allen pushes.

Right "Professional". The slightly too small bet of 925 by Baker does nothing for Baker. Baker can free hit all he wants and if Allen pushes (for a ending bankroll of 4000) a Baker win leaves Baker still short (with an ending bankroll of 3950).

Baker should mostly concentrate on Allen since he can see what Allen bets before he (Baker) bets. Baker can play his hand after Allen is finished playing to determine what he (Baker) should do.

Another situation with only 2 players using the same bankrolls in the 3 player - 2 advance modified to 2 player - 1 advance is as follows.

    Player.............BkRll.................Hold.................Bet................Cards

    Allen...............4000................2000...............2000...............10+3 + 5 = 18
    Baker..............3400................2200................1200...............10+3
    DEALER.....................................................................................8

It was determined that Baker should free hit to 19 to counter a push by Allen.
Starting with Allen at 18 and Baker at 13, Baker has a 38.75% chance of winning the session.

Now suppose Allen's hit card was a 6 (instead of the 5) for a total of 19 then Baker needs to hit to 20 to fight a possible Allen push.
Now Baker's chances drop to 16.96% to advance.

WHAT COULD HAVE BAKER HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY TO IMPROVE IN THIS 2nd SITUATION??

Baker should have bet 1325-1375 following Allen bet of 2000. When Allen gets 19 (a likely win over dealer 8), Baker should give up the low and double down. He advances if both players win or if he wins and Allen pushes.

Correct Professional. While we are not allowed to have computers at the table, we should see that when Allen gets a high hand we need to double to take the high and abandon the low. By Baker initially making a bigger bet (and still initially having the low) gives up the low (after seeing the hands delt) by doubling for a 30.89% chance to win the session. When taking the low don't just bet one chip; bet as much as possible by holding one extra chip to keep all your options. This double is some what obvious with Allen having a 19 verses a dealer 8. Other combination of Allen totals and dealer up cards are not obvious but at least Baker should know that standing on 17 is not the correct play.

    taking the low ...say p1 has $12,000 ,p2 has $20,000 ,p3 has $13,500 ,p4 has $10,000...... p1 bets $6,000 ....ME at p2 ...what should I bet ...and why ,,, no max bet

I am assuming the bet unit is 500. If you bet 7500 then you will have the high and low over P1 and 4 and the high over P3. The only thing you leaving out is the low for p3.

this was at hard rock Biloxi $25,000 ...bet from $100 --no max ....I bet $20,ooo ,P3 bet $100 ....P3 won with low , dealer had 6 up , drew 2 cards for 20 , not nice

It did make sense for P3 to take the low as that was his only chance once you bet any thing more than 6500. Given the cards you described, p3 would have won anyway by taking the low over everyone else.
