I just installed a preliminary version of the "Add a tournament" function.
More functionality is still in the works, but at least the basic entry process for new events is now available.

The page is only available from one specific spot.

To find it, go to a specific casino's View page either from the Casino List, or from an existing event where the casino name is a clickable link. Once on the casino view page, you'll find a link to "Add an event at this casino" in the left sidebar.

I just entered the Beau's 10/27 craps tournament.

I just noticed that when I look at the event the text blocks to not expand down. The info at least on my PC is one long line. Note that I can not enter the first place prize since it is not money. May need some kind of option for that.

I think when I go to the events calendar, that perhaps I would like to have all new events that have been established since I was last in the calendar listed first. I assume that this would only work for the logged in members.

I see that too. Trying to figure out why. I imagine I'll have another update tomorrow.

Problem where tournament detail and prize detail was all on one line is now fixed. Thanks for the report.

I see there is an issue with viewing event updates with lengthy descriptions.
The popup display of the updated details isn't scrollable, and any information below the bottom of the screen is inaccessible.

On a related note, I do plan to eventually implement a suggestion from @gronbog that makes the display of changes in lengthy descriptions more readable, instead of just showing the entire old and new versions.

    I fixed several issues today...

The "Cancel Event" function is complete. Click "Cancel" on any listed event and you'll see how it works.
(Don't worry, you can back out easily without cancelling anything!)

For recurring events, you can cancel single dates or all future events. For single-date cancellations, you can specify a reason.

I also fixed the problem where lengthy event update descriptions extended past the bottom of the screen. They're scrollable now.

Another day, another update... This one is pretty neat.

On any event listing, you'll now see a "Discuss" link next to each event.
Click that and you'll be either taken to the existing discussion thread about that event, or asked if you want to create a new one.

The only bad news is that I haven't automatically linked up the existing discussions so we'll likely have some duplicate threads for a while.
I'll work on linking up the ones I can.

I fixed an issue today that was causing seemingly unchanged tournament details and prize details to show up in the edit history.
For the technically inclined, the carriage-return/linefeed pairs were being replaced with just linefeeds.

It's bad enough that the updates repeat the entire blob of text even when a small change is made.
Anyway, the immediate problem is fixed, and I hope to make the update history much smarter about how to display small changes.
    Soon I hope.
