Just wanted to share our thoughts on the the Live! Casino in Hanover Maryland 25K Monthly Blackjack Tournament that we tried a few weeks ago. We (Todd and I) were on a trip out east and made this tournament our last day of excitement. It was a different format than we are used to but honestly very fun. The format is accumulative so try to get the highest score to get on the board. A digital board shows the top 10 scores and is updated continually. The top 6 high scores from whole night get into finals. $50 buy in, and you can only try 3 times. You can buy in all three times at once if you want or individually. Each ticket will say first try, second try, third try. The casino games manager has it set up really well, no long wait in lines. They have 4-6 tables set up in a separate area. You can play anytime you want, it runs from 6 PM until 10 PM and it is rolling so as soon as one table is done they let in 5-6 more players and start again. 15 Hands and you start with $1000 in chips in preliminary rounds ($5000) if you make the final table. Min. Bet 50 and Max. 1000 until the last hand (15th hand) you can bet 2000. Final Table is Min. is $100 and Max. $5000, and last hand can be 10,000. We were actually told the dollar amount that you want to be at to possibly move on. (Ask me I might tell you!) . There were a number of players that just did not get it. They did not do anything to try to accumulate and get all chips possible. A lot of luck required and we were not the lucky ones but I would do this again for sure. Payout is $10,000 Cash for top prize, Prize for 2nd place, 2500 promo 2500 cash and the rest of places are promo chips only. Some dealers made everyone follow the rules (no changing bet - things like that) but some were not enforcing it and you had to watch everyone. Blackjack 2 to 1. Any Strategy ideas for this? I got to $6400 one round and was on board for a short time.

Hi Lakegirl32. Thanks again for your July 23rd report on the Live! Casino Monthly Blackjack tournament. As a follow up, I thought I'd pass along that a BJTUSA subscriber (Who is not on this site), won the Live! Casino event this week. I'm sure he gleaned helpful information from your report........ And, he's on a bit of a roll - He came in 2nd at Hard Rock Biloxi in July, plus another 2nd place finish there a couple of months ago. I know you know him, but as you also know names of subscribers on BJTUSA remain anonymous so I can't publish it here unless he signs up for this site. It's just always nice to know a member of our gang of dedicated tournament players did well.
How Cool, I suspect I know who it is! We met him at the Live tournament in July, we have played with him for years. Ah I just seen the post! Yep! Congrats M!
