I am new to this forum and new to ClubUBT. I was wondering if there were ever qualifiers for actual live UBT tournaments on ClubUBT or elsewhere...
Right now, there are no scheduled UBT-style tournaments, with the exception of the Carnival Cruise scheduled in April. It is possible to win a cruise on ClubUBT. The last live casino tournaments were the series of Monday night football tournaments at the Rampart. There is some speculation that with the recent UBT/WPT partnership, that there might be some future live tournaments in the works during WPT live events.
ClubUBT's predecessor, PlayUBT, did give seats in live UBT tournaments as prizes. As a matter of fact, the prizes were seats at the final tables, not just in the tournament itself. No more, though, apparently that is not part of the future plans. As toonces noted, there are no more live UBT tournaments scheduled anyway.
