Anyone that wants to play in some little mini-tournaments in the Dallas, TX area contact me. I am going to try and get around 14 - 21 players for some play and practice.

I have some new players that are wanting to learn tournament play and with several veteran tournament players in this area I thought we could put together a tournament day some Saturday or Sunday where we could hold 4 or 5 events.

Were talking $20 - $50 entry fees per event with 100% going back as prize money. I do hope the winners tip out the dealers.

Anyone interested just contact me here by private message.

    Dallas mini tournaments set

I have locked down the date and location for the mini-tournaments I am hosting in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area.

The date will be Oct. 1st (Sat.) at 11:30 AM - around 6:00 PM.

I am bringing three tables and dealers and I expect we will play 4-6 tournaments during that time.

Entries will be $20 - $50 per tournament.

Start with $500 "NO CASH VALUE" chips. Min. $5 Max. $200.
"$5 option for extra $100 in chips before each round".

3 tables of no more then 7 players with 2 advancing from each to the finals.

6 in the finals and 100% of all the entries go back as prize money.

And if your worried, the head constable will be there along with his wife playing (so yes these are legal).

NOTE: Dealers are working for tips, please take care of them.

    Fun get together

The small local tournaments went pretty well today. I got to meet Bogey21, JM Belders, Kalex21, and LadyG.

We had 14 players on two tables and a couple of live sit & go events. I think the newer players really enjoyed getting the play in the smaller tournaments and getting to ask question during the events. It really seems to be more comfortable for them then to put out travel expence and higher entry fees at the casinos and get help from the other players.

After todays tournaments everybody wants to get together once a month for some simular tournaments. I expect within a few months we will be pulling in 35 or so new players wanting to learn tournament blackjack. Not a big group but makes for a fun Saturday afternoon locally and if we can get some new players for the bigger tournaments it will only help tournament play.

Congratulations to Bogey21 and JM Belders who won the first two events today.

Special invite for the "St. Louis Mafia" (group of tournament players from that area). Guys (and gal's) let me know when ya'll want to come down to TX and we will get a little tournament or two up for ya'll. With your group and ours we could have a nice little tournament and several "LIVE" sit & go events.

Yes it's fun but small correction

I had a fun time over @ Hooters yesterday, but I have to add one small correction. Replace the "n" with an "l" in my last name, that will make things correct. Let me know when we will meet again.

    Another Hooters tournament in Texas

These are local tournaments for players in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. However players from outside the area are more then welcome to come play.

It looks like this maybe be coming a monthly event. We had 15 players last month and hoping for more this next weekend. This is a fun group of player that enjoy tournament play. I am thinking we can have a regular group of around 30 plus players each month as the word gets out.

These smaller live "mini" and "sit & go" style events really help the newer tournament players since they can ask questions during play.

We will be playing Sat. 26, at the N. Arlington Hooters @ Hyw. 30 and Collins.
doors open at 11:00 am and we will try to start at 11:30 am for the first tourney.

Events range from $20 to $50 entry fees with 100% of all entries returned as prize money.
