Global Player's 6th birthday celebration is packed with good news for blackjack tournament players:

First, the popular sit and go tournaments are vig-free this week, with 100% of the entry fees returned to the winners. Entry fees are $15, $30 or $50.

Then, the Wednesday tournaments all month have an extra $200 in cash added to the prize pool. That's in addition to their usual addition of bonus money for the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the semifinals.

The Wednesday events have a sliding scale of entry fees, starting at $10 the first week of the month and increasing to $40 for the fourth week.

Then, possibly the biggest multi-player online blackjack tournament ever is planned for this Friday...

Friday, Sept 16th at 3 PM EDT

If they get 120 entries and 80 rebuys, plus up to $2000 added by the casino based on participation, they'll hit the 5-figure mark for prize pool. That would be a first for a true multi-player blackjack tournament online. The entry fee for this event is $50, with rebuys at $25.

Let's get the prize pool up there. Make your arrangements now to be able to play during what for most people will be part of the workday. (The event starts at 3 PM Eastern, and will probably last close to 4 hours if you make it all the way to the finals.)

If you haven't already signed up for an account at Global Player, now is the time. Also special this week is a $50 bonus for a $30 first-time purchase at the casino.

If you're new to the online casino world, I recommend opening an account at http://www.neteller.com and using a bank account to fund your accounts. Most credit card purchase attempts will be denied by your credit card company.
