My understanding is... What I have found in trying to get a tournaments set-up at a casino is that they fiqure if it is worth wide for someone to put them on that is is worth it for them to do it themselves. The problem is that they end up never happening or they screw them up when they try. We just need more casino executives like Jimmy Wike and Floorman Les Tacker who understand that these tournaments really do increase the casinos bottom line and that is why their events are successful. Once the online blackjack tournaments take off and the land base tournaments start bringing in more players like the tournaments of years gone by. The same casinos that are bringing back their poker rooms will end up following the leaders again by bringing back the blackjack tournaments. Then and only then will they realize that the better players will help as a draw and allow them to come back to play in their tournaments (like in poker). Joep and Kennye have busted their asses trying to get this new 2 million event going and I wish them the best. Had the GN not have been sold I think we would already have this event booked. This tournament along with online satellite events should be the start of a new trend in blackjack tournaments, that I hope we be benifit all of us.
