    All 2012 future LVH (Las Vegas Hilton) table tournaments scheduled have been canceled including the December 125K table tournament finals.

    Wow. Nothing like a scorched-earth management style, eh?

    I think the Court appointed Receiver is calling all the shots now, if fact the monthly slot tournament prize fund has been increased from $75,000 to $100,000. This leads me to believe the slot tournaments were more profitable than the table tournaments.

    The best venue for tournamant blackjack is now history.

    Why? Picture this....
    Several hundred players there for a suited blackjack tourney, but maybe a couple dozen players at the BJ tables.

    I attended everyone of Rick's tourneys. At most of them, I was the ONLY player who played at the tables.

    There is no such thing as a free lunch.

    No free lunch

    This has been bandied about here on a number of occasions. If a casino hosting a BJT is only looking at the table play of the entrants, then shame on them as they are seeing a very small part of the picture. They're missing the action of those who prefer playing other games, as well as the action from accompanying friends/family/spouses who tag along but don't play in the BJT.

    Sometimes that non-table action can be quite considerable, too.

    poor lvh

    lefty;

    good points. in march, they did not HAVE enough tables opened so that one could play. have been in the top 100 theoritetical the last tournaments at lvh (hilton), by playing vp.

    they screwed the pooch themselves.

    No matter the theories, it's evident LVH table tournaments did not produce an overall casino profit as their slot tournaments did.

    Table tournament players that outsmarted LVH requirements for future tournament entries are now rewarded with no future tournaments as are we that gave expected action.

    Thanks to those that were not willing to pull their weight, due to your bragging we know who you are. Again thanks for killing another 100k table tournament venue, I hope you enjoy the weekly LAS mini tournaments.
