More Golden Palace Problems

was in the $2,500 guaranteed 'Fright Night' tourney - scheduled for 3:00pm (MST) today - they wanted 50 entries - only had 24 - at the appointed time - the tourney just disappeared - not a computer problem - I was hooked into other tournament lobbies - and they were updating fine - the tournament lobby for the $2,500 tourney simply blanked out the players list - and then the tourney disappeared from the tournament list in the main lobby - and that was it - while I won my entry through a 'feeder' tourney - that was recorded in my account as a $14 win - then a $13 + $1 payment of entry fees into the $2,500 guaranteed tourney - never a notice in the tournament lobby that the tournament was canceled - and - the $13+$1 has not shown up in my account yet - about 1 hour later - so - they not only 'disappeared' the tourney - but - apparrently - are stealing the entry fees???? any other players registered for this tourney have the same problem? Rando? Barney? anyone else?

 

That sounds normal

As far as the game vanishing when it is cancelled. Sometimes it say cancelled for a few seconds and then vanishes off lobby screen. When game is canceled the played vanish.

Next good game at 8pm pst 500$...

Barney - then where is the refund of my entry fee ? - while I won it in a feeder tourney - it was paid for with money I won! - and so reflected in my account! - did you get your entry back? -

I emailed them about this - a long - polite - email - describing the situation - will post if they refund the money -

For a transaction summary but didnt find one. Obviously they owe you the money you won. Im sure you will learn what happened sooner or later.

 

Barney - if you go to

'cashier' it will offer you the option of 'view my account' - or something like that - which gives you an item by item transaction history - did you get your entry fee back?

 

RK, You got it right, no refund as of yet. I bot in several days ago but no credit for $14. Thanks for the heads up.

entry fee refunds

I emailed them - a polite - lengthy - and descriptive email - requesting the $14 refund of entry fees - no response yet - I would recommend everyone do the same - if they find many persons (ok - 24) requesting their entry fees being returned - that might convince them they need to take care of their bj customers - be polite at this point - give them a chance -

also - have you all noticed that on the NEXT Fright Night $2,500 guaranteed tourney - minimum number of players needed is listed at ... 20...

 

Golden Palace Entry Fee Refunds

has anyone seen their money refunded yet from the canceled Fright Night tournament? or gotten any reply from Golden Palace customer service? I have seen neither money nor a reply to my complaint - it is looking very much as if they are simply keeping the money

I would strongly recommend no one play this site until they show they are honest with the money you deposit/win - right now they are looking less then honest

I emailed the support from Golden Palace once at the beginning of the page. I had a problem with the software. They didn`t anwer untill now! Seems like the support is not the best there...

I checked my account....I was charged 14 dollars on the 24th and I received a refund on the 24th...so I didnt have any problem...

Perhaps it has something to do with winning a seat although it seems to me this is exactly same really...you won a 14 dollars seat so you should be refunded 14 dollars or at least entered into the next one....

Btw I cant beleive we couldnt get 50 for this event...thats nuts!!! 2500 prize for (13 x 50 = $650 dollars) Is everyone retarded?? Carlos Mencia is right??? Duh duh duh!!!..lol

So far I like the site and game...CS is slow...my real complaint right now is that I have been trying to withdraw money from my account since last Saturday...and Im still getting a BS message about required documents to prove I am over age 18... even though I sent said docs last Saturday...plus like 5 emails and 5 calls now...it is Thursday and I am no closer to getting my money!

Now that sucks ...they are tryting my patience but I am giving them a chance like I beleive I do with any problem at any site...but if they keep ignoring me or refuse to take action soon ...you can be assured I will report it from the highest mountain top...

With that said I think anyone not trying out the site is foolish...2 bucks for a 500 dollar guarentee game and we cant get 25 people to sign up??

I got my promised bonus dollars (10 bucks) and have had only a rare few connection problems...its a good well thought out format as far as the game goes...there are speed rounds that seem really popular..

I have advised them about the confusing GMT scheduling issue and also the extremely annoying shifting schedules lines ...you try to study the list and to sign up for different tournamnets while converting GMT to local time and as you are about to click the game...blink ...its fu*^( gone....moved up or down a few 5 or 6 lines....Its like a game of hitting that gopher with a hammer and he keeps ducking just as you are ready top strike....stupid when you are trying to set up the games you want to enter.

But the game itself is good...betting tools are the best Ive seen, I ve said it could use a tweaking of resolution and some color tweaks and font adjustments for the sight challenged...but overall this is a well designed well thjought out game...a few quirks...can only split one time, no info on the number of players advancing , how many rounds...etc....but all easily fixed...

Now if we can just get our money.....

I wasnt refunded my $14 for the $2500 entry and have emailed service@pokerhosts about it. I know I was one of the first to sign up there and didnt get my free $10. At this point Im willing to let the $10 slid, but I do want my $14 back! I didnt win the seat like RKuckzec, so I think it is a program problem.

Let me add my name to those who signed on early and did not receive the $10. I am not giving up on the $10 regardless of the fact that it is a fairly small amount. Integrity of Golden Palace is at stake here. I intend to be patient, but I intend to be paid on their promise.:flame: :flame: :flame:

I too am not fussed especially about the tenner but when people come on here and make promises that are not fullfilled I get upset (incidentally I've just had an unpleasant customer in the shop so I'm a bit peeved, need to vent a little!!!)

I am having a few glitches witht he software which in one case may have led to me losing a tourney. What happens is when it's my time to bet no buttons appear for me to place it and I just time out. The "I'm back" button appears and I can click that and I'm OK again. It's happened about 3 times now, may even have lost me a tourney. Did a print screen, just need to send it to CS now.

I signed up early and never received my $10 either. That is all I am out, I haven't tried any of the games and won't until they honor the $10 sign-up.

Perhaps Ken can contact someone and straighten out these issues. I saw he is doing commercials for Golden Palace, so he should have a contact for them.

Ken, could you check on the canceled tournament refunds and $10 sign-up bonuses for us. I am sure Ken can get the issues corrected for us.

 

Oddly enough, I signed up late but the $10 appeared in my account straight away.

I've not been able to play yet though. The only PC I have with a compatible OS currently installed is an ancient Win98 laptop; it's a Pentium 133 with 40 MB RAM and an 800x600 screen. This falls just short of the min spec that GP say they have tested (48MB RAM). When I try to join a table I get a minute or two of disk actvity, the table briefly appears, and then I get logged out.

I hope to juggle things around so that can install it on my main PC some time soon, then I'll see if can lose those $10.

I'm amazed that you guys (gals are apparently smarter) play this site.

With all the problems you are having, why? Are you that hard up to play? The problems were first reported by GameMaster, see "Golden Palace's History" thread, 6 years ago. Isn't this forum to learn from other's experiences.

Desert the damn place and let it die as it should.

As a side note, since there are so many problems, can you be sure a shill(s) will not be in the tournaments, that is if you ever get to play?

Always bitching This is a good site with a relatively smooth running program even on my virtual PC. You should go over there and play the free games. What will it hurt? I started with 0$ and have done very well.
