I am assuming this tournament is totally invitational. The flyer doesn't specify anything else and uses participants rather than entries.

With the tournament being helt on a weekend, there is a chance they will get the 216 participants for the full prize fund. They have varied in the past whether they pay out the full thing or prorate when they do not get all the participants they want.

The flyer is for the "Greatest Hits Weekend", beginning Thursday night with Chicago concert.

They usual have 6 tables in play for BJT. Assuming this is the case, then it will take 6 first rounds with 1 advancing to get the 36 players for a semi-final with 1 advancing to the finals.

Seems to me, the last time I played in a tournament there, they had 2 for 1 BJs. They had one quirky thing, you can split Aces only once, but you could stand or DD the result.

Assuming they still have their split Aces only once, but can DD after the hit, a strategy could be to DD all the bad first hits (A-6) even against 7-A. As far as I know you can DD for less, so it may cost you little to try to get a better hand.

    Unbelievable

After 8 calls and going through Harrah's auto reservations phone lines and at least 4 disconnections I was able to talk to a live person who infomed me that they don't give out any information on their tournaments.

Anyway, here is their direct line for anyone trying to get into this event:
1-318-742-0711. Good luck to all those who get in.
