Phone: 877-888-2121 Details: Code: Highlights from the details posted on the web site: # The tournament start time will begin approximately at Noon, with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m. or earlier if required. # There is a buy-in fee of $100 per participant. Based on the number of players, a buy back may be allowed. A $10.00 Optional Dealer Appreciation will be available to all players during registration. Any player who buys the optional dealer appreciation will receive an additional one-thousand dollars ($1,000.00) in non-value tournament chips. # The tournament format will be as follows: * Session 1: Three rounds with a maximum of six tables per round and six players per table. * Semi-Finals: One round with the top player from each table in Session 1 will advance to the semi-finals. Maximum of three tables and six players per table. * Championship Game: One round with the top two players at each table from the Semi-Finals and a wild card seat. Thank you for posting this, Gronbog. I've known about this thing for about 6 months or so but felt that it was such an insulting format that I didn't bother. Note that stupid "11th Hand" rule. What ends up happening is everybody bombs in on that hand and hopes they're the one to get the Willy Wonka Golden Ticket into the semifinals. And, since it's ONE-advance in the first rounds, you cannot even angle for another advancing spot. Even if I had a comped entry, I wouldn't even waste the gas to drive the 45 minutes for it. One of the finest examples of a DonkDown BJT in the country! :laugh:
Yeah, I did notice the 11th hand rule. Perhaps the members here who are local can complain loudly enough to have it removed. At the very least we (you) have exposed a rule here that other members may have missed.
I don't know Lefty, I might drive the 60 miles for a free entry (but I get 46 MPG). The all in last hand bet would probably keep me away though. -Pill
