Is there two payouts? Rookie is there two payouts for this event (one for BJ and one for slots)? I added up the prize money posted and it only adds up to $110,000 but you posted a $200,000 total prize payout. 1st - $50,000 2nd - $10,000 ($60,000) 3rd - $7,500 ($67,500) 4th - $5,000 ($72,500) 5th - $2,500 ($75,000) 6th-10th - $1,500 each ($7,500 = $82,500) 11th - 25th - $500 each ($7,500 = $90,000) 26th - 50th - $200 each ($5,000 = $95,000) 51st - 200th - $100 each ($15,000 = $110,000)
Tx, I didn't attend due to the format and the invitation is long gone. As I recall there were 2 Slot and 2 BJ sessions for each player with each individual session paying 1st place only to make the total purse $200,000. Don't know why I failed to include that information, the prizes listed were for total points accumulated in all 4 sessions of play by each participant. My decision not to attend was based on information from someone that played a recent MB accumulation BJ tournament. BR is 100,000 each session, 1,000 min, 10,000 max, 20 hands with no max bet the last hand. I was told to expect 200 players each betting max for 19 hands then going all in the final hand.
Mandalay Bay BJ Tournaments I still do have in my email archive an invite to that tournament. It, however, indicated that it was a $150k prize fund tournament with the other $40k consisting of a pair of $10k prizes each day for the highest bj rounds total for that day and highest slot rounds total for that day. I did play in the previous Mandalay Bay accumulation blackjack tournament, and the format was as bad as rookie suggested. I remember being puzzled by the discrepancy between the $150k and $200k prize fund listings, but since I wasn't interested in the tournament, I never tried to resolve the discrepancy.
