Well the Choctaw casino in Durant, OK will start hosting a blackjack tournament with the winner receiving a complete Blackjack Cruise package for January 26th - 31st. The winner will get a Penthouse suite, all taxes, port charges, gratuities, airfare for two, hotel, all TBJPA fees, and entries for both TBT events on the ship, and I heard some extra spending money, (not sure how much). The Choctaw casinos will be giving away three of these cruise packages (one at Durant, Idbel, and I believe Broken Bow). Once the dates are set I will up date the event calendar and post more information as well. We currently have close to 60 going on the January cruise and hope to add more through these up coming Choctaw events and Tropicana cruise satellites November 8th - 12th.

Strange format for the Durant qualifiers... The way the Durant Choctaw casino is host their qualifiers for the Blackjack Cruise is a little different. Players will pay $20 entry and play up to 15 hands and the top 2 players each Thursday and Saturday qualify for the main event. Players may jump in anytime to start their 15 hands. They may have all 6 players at one time starting their 15 hands at different times. It just goes on non-stop from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. They also pay out daily money based on the number of entries they have (I believe 50% of the entries go out for daily prize money). I'll find out more details and post about the event.
Durant "Winter Getaway" Cruise payouts The tournaments started November 1st - December 13th, 2007. Entry fee is $20.00 for each round you play. Should you not qualify wild cards will be awarded. Wild cards slips will be given out for each round in daily play you played in. Wild cards will be draw the day of the play-off. Each player may only qualify for one seat in the finals, but they are eligable to win daily prize money in every tournament. The Daily payouts are only for the top three players: 1st = 50% of daily entries. 2nd = 30% " " 3rd = 20% " " Nice 100% rerturn on each day, making the finals 100% overlay. The top two scores each Thursday and Saturday qualify for the finals on December 15th, 2007. December 15th prizes. 1st = 5 day cruise on the Carnival "Fantasy" Penthouse cruise package for two, port charges, taxes, gratuities, entries into both TBT events and $75 cabin credit and $500 cash. 2nd = $2,000 3rd = $1,000 4th = $1,000 5th = $ 250 6th = $ 250 Tournament Rules: 15 hands Hands 1 - 8; min. bet: $1,000, max. bet: $5,000. Hands 9 - 15; min. bet: $2,500, max. bet: $50,000. All bets must be made in $500 increments. Blackjack pays 3 to2 * insurance pays 2 to 1. Dealer must stand on all 17's. Surrender offered. Splits up to 3 times; aces only once. Every hand must be played, less than $1,000 in chips is a bust out.
