In 2010 there will be a $30,000 BJ tourney at the Sault location. This is a 387 unit hotel connected to the casino so I fully expect more players to be able to attend. One difference is the free rooms will be for Fri-Sat and Sunday is $35. That is pretty much the only difference. CP
Not Good This is terrible scheduling. I'm happy they're having this event but February in the UP is a "tough sell" for anybody more than 50 miles away. If this one fills up, I want to hire their promoters. Daily "lake effect" snow is all but guaranteed. Having said that----------------sign me up NOW!!!!!!! Billy C
Yeah, Deb just about choked when she saw February as the date for this one. Doubtful she'd risk the trip. I sure will go, but then I've driven through weather worse than we'll see up there - and with hundreds of pounds of bowling equipment in the car trunk making the steering even more interesting. Gotta agree with Billy, tho, and add that they're probably dooming it to failure with such a date. Late April or early May would work better. St. Ignace usually has one in late March, so that would give some separation between them and help prevent Mother Nature's mere threat from ruining this event before it even gets going. Thanks, CP, for starting this thread and letting us know. Perhaps we can reason with the Ignace BJT staff regarding the Sault date while we're there next month.
Guys Just to let you know I hit my first Royal there last weekend! JOB 9/6 The wife also was in the money on the VP tourney. As to the date, there is actually competition going on between the Sault and Ignace over the BJ tourneys. Ignace will not be happy over this event but I must agree that Febuary is a rough month, just give yourself plenty of time to get there and get home. But Boy,,, they have great VP there! It will be a 4d tourney. CP
