I've been working on the tournament schedule pages that will eventually be available here, and I'm still ironing out a few items of the entry screens.

    My question for today:

I'm currently planning to ask a question about the tournament being described like this:

Number of days: ??? with a drop-down box including these answers: 1,2,3.

My question: Have you played any tournaments that last longer than 3 days, including any reception or dinner? Every multi-day tournament I've ever played had two days of play, plus perhaps a dinner the night before, for a total of 3 days. Has anyone seen a 4-day event?

    Thanks, -Ken-

P.S. I'm making good progress. Hang in there!

Ken, the "only" four day tournament I have seen was the free (no entry fee) tournament, at a local casino. It started on Wednesday and finals were on Saturday. Top 25 qualifiers advance to simi-finals. I think 3 days would be all you need.

    Harrah's & Stardust

Harrah's and Stardust will list four days like next month 13-16 and 16-19.
But they are only two days of play, they have welcome reception and event registration on day one, start tournament on day two, finish on day three, and list day four for departures.

Think they want are money, they run a one day tournament and try to keep us for four days...lol

    Three night (Four day)

    Ken,

We have a three night package tourney in the Michigan area (which I will also be adding to the calender). The tourney itself is only 2 days but the sign in starts on Friday and then prelims and semi's are on Sat with the finals on Sun.

The package deal then includes a Sunday night lodging making it four days of casino action? The final is early afternoon on Sunday so you could actually leave on Sunday if you wanted but the lodging for Sunday night is included in the package.

    Thanks for the input

I think I'll go ahead and add a four-day choice, though I think it will be rarely used. In the last example given, I'd call that a three-day event.
