Since I was the one who told everyone about possible date changes at he Ute casino...thought I should let everyone know that I talked to Bill (in charge of tournaments) today and the decision was made to keep the Fri-Sat dates. They had sent out alot of fliers already and scrapped the idea of a Sat-Sun tourny.
weather update----little to no snow between abq and the Ute casino.

Ute Weather Report/Don't get confused/Anyone book?

Towaoc, CO is expecting a chance of snow on Thursday the 22nd.

Also, if you google the Utes you might get the Sky Utes in Ignacio, CO.

The Ute Mountain Casino has a page dedicated to the tourney. Listed is a tourney package special. Anyone book it? Also, can you enter and pay with a credit card? Still a $100 for the next qualifier?

    So what is the latest?

Any updates about the Ute Tourney? The weather appears to be cooperating for the Jan 6-8 time period. The clouds/rain/snow should be gone by Wednesday noon. Fri/Sat-partly cloudy High-52 Low-16.

Just remember you are going to be high, in elevation. You folks used to sucking in thick sea-level air need to know that atmosphere gets about 4% thinner for every 1000 ft.

I'm still on for the trip, although my travel plans changed yesterday. I was supposed to fly to Vegas yesterday.

In Gulfport, the airport was fogged in the entire day. They only had one departure all day, and that was because the plane was already there. Nothing could land due to very limited visibility.

While waiting in the terminal for our flight to officially cancel, there was a fire alarm and we had to evacuate the terminal. Once they gave the all-clear, we had to go stand in the mother of all security clearance lines as everyone was cleared again.

Once they finally cancelled the rest of the day's flights, we had to stand in line again to get our bags back. That took about an hour. Ironically, during that hour the fog finally lifted and it was clear as could be outside.

Some trips just aren't meant to be.

I rebooked Gulfport to ABQ for Thursday.
