I was told today that the Fitzgerald casino in Las Vegas wants to start hosting major BJ tournaments. After talking to them for the passed few months the powers that be have decided to give them a try. Unfortunately due to the time of their decision it will be to late to host one for August. Expect Fitzgerald’s to become part of the regular BJ tournament scene in the near future. Their format will be similar to the New Frontier BJ tournament, except using "No cash Value" chip instead on "Live money".
Well, good for the long term (another tourney and hopefully timed for those of us aways from LAS to enter with others on the same trip), bad for the short term (I already bought by tix! - will arrive LAS on 29 July and leave 22 Aug - sans 04-08 Aug in Beautiful Lake Tahoe. Any one else participating the the plethora of tourneys then?).
Fitz tourneys The Fitzgeralds will be in combination with other events, I try and plan them that way. I know that it sucks to go out for just one tournament and be out the same travel expence for one as you can for 4-5 tournaments.
