Opened an account this AM in preparation of playing morning freeroll. Did not stop me from creating a real money account but when I attempted to register for the tournament I got a message that players from my country were not allowed to play real money games.

I don't live in one of those states that ban online internet so I can only assume that the Get21 policy is different thatn Golden Palace. Hmm:(

    Im with you kirby

I wanted to start playing the free rolls and try to win enough to enter Get21 and Gold P.

Even tho I had one game that didnt go because of technical problems last week and two last night I love playing these sites. They mix it up from 5 hands to 30. The program works relatively smoothly with only one problem, for me, during games over the first week. I've played at least 6 a day. I havent tried to withdraw money tho, and my email hasnt got my $14 back in my account. The records clearly show my money needs to be returned so Im sure it will be no problem.

    Hi Kirbyk,

This is Daniel from Get21.com. I would like to thank you for the interest you have shown in Get21.com and in our tournaments.
I am sorry that you cannot join our real money tournaments due to the new US regulation regarding the online gambling web sites.

After long consultation with our lawyers, we have decided that for the best interest of our company and our players, we will not allow real money play from the US at this point. I am sure that you understand our calculations.
In addition, I invite you to join our Practice Mode tournaments and enjoy our highly advanced application.

Daniel, Thanks for your offer of “FREE PRACTICE GAMES” offered to us in the U.S.A but, I would rather Practice in a real money game.

Before folding like a wet noodle, your lawyers should talk to I. Nelson Rose.:joker: :joker: :joker:

    No Daniel,

I do NOT understand your calculations. Might I suggest that your lawyers get in touch with Mr. Rose? [great suggestion BJFAN4]

    A few salient points:

    1. As long as your site doesn't directly accept the money from the US clients it is not breaking the law
    2. The US law does NOT make it illegal to play the games only the financing portion
    3. If your site accepts financing from 3rd parties how is that affecting your site?
    4. This is a US law - since your company in NOT based in the US why do you feel obligated to follow this misguided law?
    5. Antigua and other countries have pointed out that the US law is in a direct violation of the WTO - the US was found guilty on infractions before and this will likely be no different

I could go on but it is your company and you can choose to fold you tent and put your tail between your legs and run away if you choose. Since you want to follow this new US law will you abide by our other US laws also? Do I see someone smoking in your office over there Daniel? According to US laws in Florida that is illegal to smoke in public buildings so I guess you better put out the smokes! :flame:

But then again it is free choice -

I don’t think Get21 or any other gaming company for that matter should be blamed for exiting the US market. It is extremely frustrating not have all the great sites to play anymore, but the only one to blame is our government who for some reason wants to tell us how to spend our money.

Not blaming them, but am mystified that they would let me go through the real money registration only to tell me that I couldn't use the account. Don't let me in the front door if I'm not invited for dinner!
