Over the last couple of days several players have contacted me about the Tulsa tournaments and not being able to get hold of Eric (Woods, TD @ Tulsa Cherokee). Well I talked to him today and fould out what was going on. Tulsa has 2 inches of ice on the roads and he hasn't been able to get his messages for the last 5-6 days. He assured me that as soon as he gets in he will answer all his messages. I don't blame him for not wanting to drive on 2 inches of ice either. Just be patient and he will get back with you.
Ice Skates I tried the ice skates trick, but all my younger years of playing hockey has left me. Falling/wrecking on ice is not very pleasent. It would truley be devestating for me to not make it to the Championships due to an ice skating injury. Thank you Tx for posting my status, as I am back in the office now.

Ultimate TX Hold'em (event #1) It was a low turnout, but fun. When it got to the final four players they chopped the pot (everyone finished with 2nd place money $660). It was different, (a first for them), suggestion were made to improve on the format and speed up the game, but all and all it was a nice change of pace. Eric and the rest of the staff made it fun for all, by giving away t-shirts for first trip's, first pocket King's, first Ace/10 value...etc. Eric and the rest of the staff are really trying all they can to make this week successful and make it enjoyable for all the players. One important note I want to point out so no one gets upset this weekend. No re-buy's for the Oklahoma State Open, instead they are offering re-entries at another $300. I was under the opinion there were $150 re-buy's and I don't want anyone else making the same mistake I did. They did host one $35 satellite (winner won $300 entry into the weekend OK State Open). They should be hosting several of them tomorrow. I got to see the championship ring and try it on (they need to size it for me...LOL). Airport information: If Cherokee is going to pick you up, please note the limo can't park in front of the airport, but has to park to the left side accross from the Taxi stand. just look for a looooong white streach with black trim, that will be Cherokees ride. I'll be coming out with the driver for several of the players, you don't even have to tip (much...LOL). See all of y'all later.
Airport Pickup Rick, I'm looking forward to seeing you when you ride out to the airport in the limo to pick up Storm and I on Thursday afternoon. Just remember to get the door for us. Just like you did for Ken Smith, myself and others last week when we took the Limo from the LV Hilton to the Palms for the party at the Playboy Club. lol. I will have a tip waiting for you. thrasht
