Probably a pretty basic question, but how do I get an invite to this tournament? It has a fairly low prize pool, $50k. I am not really interested in free rooms, just a ticket to play. Thanks.
The best way to get that information accurately is call Special Events at the Orleans. I advise not telling them you're not interested in the comped room which is part of the package, some local LV residents have been denied repeat invitations due to not taking a room and/or not giving the Orleans expected casino play during the tournament. Not taking a room may indicate you're not going to stay and play, a free room is a very soft comp for a casino/hotel.
Solid advice from R I totally agree with Rookie's advice. Also, I think the purse is 30k (not 50) with first paying 15k. Their next upcoming event is in October (22nd thru 24th, I think) Billy C
