I have been on trips to Las Vegas for as much as 11 days at a time. Packing for that long of a trip is a pain, and using the hotel cleaners can cost you a small fortune. However, I found a nice little 24 hour laundromat (TWAIN) actually it is a wash house. They will Dry clean, wash, dry, fluff & fold all your clothes and have them ready for you within 2 1/2 hours after dropping them off. The shop is just off Paridise at: 525 E. Twain Avenue, just in back of the strip (eastside, Harrah's, Venetian, Flamingo side). The cost was very inexpensive, I dropped off a full load and the cost was less then getting just one item cleaned at the casino and I didn't have to wait till the next day. Carrying my laptop and one bag is a lot easier to handle then two bags and the laptop. Hopefully this information may come in handy for those coming in for the LV Hilton $30K and staying through the Golden Nugget BJ tournaments (8th - 18th).
Actually... Since you posted about discounts I am contacting the manager about trying to get all TBJPA members a discount. Their business is based on locals, so any and all out of town business will be a plus for them. I might be able to get a 10% discount when a member shows their TBJPA membership card, who knows...LOL I'm talking with the manager tomorrow. Worst he can say is no.
A sign of modern times? It just shows how travelling priorities are changing when the laptop appears to be more of an important item to take than packing enough clothes. I was a little disappointed that Txtourplayer did not wear his famous cowboy hat at the Seattle event, but I guess that he has also dumped that for space saving reasons. No pimping here Damn Billy, I'm just trying to promote blackjack tournaments and get the TBJPA members discounts on travel, rooms, and possibly cleaning. Now you're trying to get me in to pimping, and a discount pimp at that...LOL. I'm afraid I'll have to pass on that one.
