What's new I hear you say. I've been trying to catch up on the comings and goings of EBJ since my holiday and I'm still a bit behind with all the forum posts so I don't have a complete picture. This is my current level of understanding. There are now 3 EBJ sites up and running - ultimatebet.com, bet21.com and playubt.com. bet21 and playubt are skins for the ub site and regardless of which skin you are using you are all in the same player pool. Apart from some skin specific freerolls/MTT that is. Am I right so far? These different skins also offer there own specific promotions but you can use 1 account to play all skins and your bonus money can be used anywhere. If you want to benefit from the skin-specific promotions you have to register seperate accounts with different emails on each skin and therefore 3 lots of deposit bank roll. It may just be me but this registering of 3 accounts and having to make 3 deposits seems a bit wiffy. And what the hell are TEC points and how do I get them? I can't find any refernce to them on bet21 or UB. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place! Please will someone clear this all up for me in very simple language so I know what the hell is going on? Bet21 and UltimateBet are the skins. It's PlayUBT that is different, being more tightly tied in with the TV show. It's at PlayUBT that you'll find the TECs. Once TEC is your reward for winning a free S&Go. You need one of these to enter the first round of a qualifier to try to get to a UBT final table at one of the tour stops.
Reachy, I will try to give you some answers, but first....do they show "Family Guy" over there? UBT uses TEC - tournament entry chips for their fee to enter the St Kitts events. The TEC's came from the Ultimate Bet site and their poker events. Some of the poker free rolls and low entry events give TEC's which can be used in other tournaments, instead of cash. Bet21 and UB are using free rolls. BTW, I, and assume others as well, am unable to log onto UBT and bet21 at the same time. One must be closed for the other to open.
London Colin is pretty much correct. However, the Freerolls are different between the sets of sites. PLAYUBT -------- No Money Site - 3 Step qualification process 1. Enter a free sit-n-go (as many as you want). Each time you come in first, you will win a TEC (tournament entry chip) good only at PLAYUBT. 2. Pay a single TEC to enter one of the 6 daily St. Kitts qualifiers. They are usually 4 rounds, but the last round is irrelevant. If you make the final table, you will be automatically be entered into the St. Kitts Final. 3. On October 7, all qualifiers will play in a tournament that will probably have about 700 entries (not all will show up). The top 2 finishers will each anchor a final TV table on the UBT. There will be two final table episodes of St. Kitts. BET21 and ULTIMATE BET -------- I am less farmiliar with these freerolls, but I believe they have a 2-step process. 1. Enter one of the daily freerolls. The top n finishers will qualify for a seperate St. Kitts final. 2. All qualifiers will play in a tournament where the winner wins a trip to St. Kitts and an entry into the tournament, but does not automatically make the final table.

I'm guessing that it's on purpose. These days, there has to be a clear barrier between free game sites that are legal and can be advertised and "illegal" gambling sites which cannot be advertised on television (usually designated by a .net instead of a .com name). UB, bet21 and the UBT are all essentially partners, so there was likely no interest in building 3 different sets of the same software. So, the software for the 3 sites are essentially identical, but the games and player base for playubt is only free elimination BJ games.

one could also say: Bet21.net is a completely free site where people can go to practice, have fun, learn about elimination blackjack, and even win a free seat to St Kitts (and beyond). There's actually a lot bigger market for that than one would think...remember, the whole world doesn't hang out on blackjack bulletin boards like us degenerates! -hd.

Until someone pointed this out to me, I was unaware of the differences in the .com/.net gaming sites, but it comes down to this. In America, they are not allowed to advertise a "gambling" website, so all of the companies have a www......net "free" site with the assumption that the visitors will switch over to the www.....com "pay for play" sites, that is if they didn't go there directly in the first place. They tend to not make it really clear that it is a .net site, I'm thinking maybe on purpose. Reachy, I downloaded the bet21.net, and it is the same, it just wont list the real money games, but the other freerolls are listed. If you want to download one the .com sites are the only ones you need.
psss to Net. com. 21's et al. A lot of furries flurring round. Missed the opportunity to set up different account at Bet 21. Now have two similiar sites, just different colors. Though I'm reading, different free rolls, oh boy, yadda.... PlayUBT never had nothin when ever I tried early on to access that. Some of the 21's are not friendly. For my adled brain, I've sorted it out to: Global: But no one is ever there. UBT--orange. Play poker and elimination BJ. Thought TEC's were just for poker Bet21, cause I screwed up. Couldn't even get different by registering through Cerritos' site. Though Thrasht and other respected members post about I think blackjack21, I can never find a game there. And I'm not trying too many other sites till I get a 80 percent recommendation, cause too many of them have the added ability to crash me. For those who don't have servers, some of these sites are disasterous.
