I am trying to schedule one of my "Super-Mini" tournaments July 13th (the night before we sail). If I can get a location to allow us to host this tournament it will cost $300 + $30 for each player. Round 1: will consist of 54 players at 9 tables (two sessions 6 tables in session 1 and 3 tables in session 2, incase it isn't sold out players can reenter), playing 24 hands per round, top two from each table will advance. Round 2: will consist of 18 players on 3 tables, 24 hands and the top 2 from each table will advance. Finals: 6 players, 1 table. Payouts (based on 54 players @ $300 each) Total prize money = $16,200 1st = 40.5% = $6,561 2nd = 18.5% = $2,997 3rd = 13.5% = $2,187 4th = 8.5% = $1,377 5th = 4.5% = $ 729 6th = 2.5% = $ 405 ------------ or the finalist may chop for $2,376 each 7th = 1.0% = $ 162 through 18th = 1.0% = $ 162 The format will be a regular elimination, but some rules may be changed due to local regulations (rules will be announced before the start of the tournament) if I find a location to host it. I will be trying to host this tournament for the players going on the cruise, but should we have any empty seats I'll open it up to any player wishing to enter.
Super-Mini Hey Rick, Are you still thinking about doing a super-mini on the Friday Night before the cruise? Storm and I are definately in and I'm sure my mom and sister would play. Again, great job in Laughlin and I look forward to you booking a Seattle event. thrasht
I think so... I think we can get a small 36 player "Super-Mini" for Friday. I have been so wrapped up with the TBJAP I haven't followed up on the "Super-Mini" for New Orleans. I'll let you know by June 15th, if I can get one set-up.
Small Problem You were talking about a super-mini on Friday, July 13th so July 15th would be a little late. Maybe you meant June 15th. ????????
out in the cold Hey Rick--how is it My Bro wins and you don't call whatever I still say congrats to Thrasht and let me know about the mini on July 13th--also I'll try to make Laughlin--have youo thought about the chicago area for a tourney?? I'm almost as good a cook as my mom!!
