When viewing FORUM posts, one can switch to a "printable view" to get a printed copy of a thread. I have not found this feature when viewing private messages. Am I missing something? Sure I can use other methods to get a hard copy, but I like to keep my life simple. Please do not interpret this as a criticism of this web side. I, like most members, think Ken Smith does a fabulous job. I've learned a lot here and am greatful for his work. I'm just trying to use this site a efficiently as possible.
Good point. The current software doesn't have any facility like this. It would be useful though. I may pass along that request to the developers. The version I'm running is pretty much straight "off the shelf".
It can be printed!!! I found a way to print a private message. I don't know if the internet provider makes a difference, I use Yahoo!. 1) Chick on "Private Messages" as usual. 2) "Check" the message you want printed (to the right of the message title). 3) Below the list of messages there is a title "Selected Messages:". Click the down arrow and choose "Download as Text" then click "GO". 4) If you get a "File Download" window - chick on "open" 5) Next screen: click on "FILE" (upper left corner) then click on "print" You should now get a printed copy of the private message. Not quite as attractive as viewing on the computer but still more than adequate.
