There are hundred's of BJ books out there, but only ONE on BJ tournaments. Have you given any thoughts to writing one ?
You bet! Yes, my book in the works. I still have a lot of work to do, but the ideas are shaping up nicely. The time is definitely right for the definitive work on tournament play to be published. I hope I can produce a book worthy of that title.
uh-oh tell me i'm not goin' head to head with the master. cuz my own advanced tournament strategy book is in the works as well... although something tells me, our books will most likely have a completely different aesthetic. -holly d.
Actually, there IS another book dedicated to casino tournaments. I found it on the shelves of The Gambler's General Store last March while out there for the Hilton tourny. It's title is How To Win At Casino Gaming Tournaments by Haven Earle Haley. It has a copyright date of 1986 and was published by Gambling Times Inc. From it's condition, it looked like it came from the first printing. As you can guess, it was pretty dated material. Still, for $8.95, I don't begrudge the money I spent on it. I feel I got more value from an entertainment perspective than from it's information on tournament strategy. It was sort of a retrospective peek into how things were almost 20 years ago. Good luck with both of your book projects. I know they will be welcome additions to everyone's gambling library.
