This quote is from a different thread:
From what I understand, Rampart canceled their Tuesday weekly tournaments when the Monday UBT format tournaments started.

Also, the CALENDAR lists Rampart as still having weekly tournaments on Thursday. Is this correct or not?

I called Rampart last November to confirm and was told they still were being held. Also on their web page calendar as of December 1. Perhaps someone local can confirm it still happens.

    Rampart Tournaments

Rampart has tournaments on Thursday - registration starts at 9:00 AM, First round starts at 10:00 AM - they run five qualifying rounds - and have a very light turnout - you might very well have a head to head match or play with a three or four person table in your qualifiers - all rounds are single advance - no guarantee on the prize pool - the one I played paid something like $660 for first - sixth place got $55 (This I am sure of  ) - buy ins and rebuys are $25 -

this is a fairly well run tournamanet - and the casino is a nice locals' type place - but this is not a big money/overlay tourney - mostly local lowrollers - but friendly -

Cannery tournaments are similar - run on Monday and Friday - and they do guarantee $490 for first - but - are $15 entry and reentry and have an even smaller overall prize pool - again - mainly locals - but pretty well run and an ok small locals' casino - lots of regulars in both tourneys

best mini in Vegas is probably the Sahara - $25 entry, $10 rebuys - guaranteed prize pool of $2,000 ($1,000 first, $500 second - but 6th and 7th don't get paid - only a free entry to a future tourney) - also every player in tounrey gets get a choice of a free buffet or $10 in play until you lose promo chips - take the chips - the buffet is the worst in Vegas - all rounds are multiple players advance - how many depends on number of entrants - usually 2 or 3 advance - Sahara is doing Wednesday afternoons and Friday evenings now -
