Hello. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience playing either the daily tourney at the Longhorn Casino or at the bi-weekly tourney at the Rampart casino. I'll be in Vegas in a couple of weeks and am interested in playing a tournament or two. This will be my first live action tournament ever. Up to now I've just played the tournament simulator as part of the Casino Verite software. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I played in the Longhorn tourney a couple of months ago. It was my first tournament and I did the worst possible thing... I won it. Note that the Longhorn is a long, long way from either the Strip or downtown, so you'll probably need a car to get there - though I should note that the bus also runs right by it. As for playing advice, the guidance given here is generally good. This is a good site and is packed with info that will help you out. Good luck, and I hope I run into you on my next visit.
