Beginning Tuesday, January 2, 2007, Rampart Casino will host two mini-tournaments a week. Each pays $1000 to the first place winner. The tournaments are held every Tuesday and Thursday. Each guarantees the first place winner $1000k. The rest of the entry fee (100%) is distributed to places 2-6. Tuesday’s tournament previously paid $599 to first place. Now, Tuesday’s tournament will mirror Thursday’s tourney. The entry fee and rebuys are $25. Qualifying rounds are at 10:00am, 10:45am, 11:30am, and 12;15pm.. Semifinals begin at 1:00pm. Finals begin at 2:00pm. The tournament is well run. The dealers are pleasant. The buffet is above average and reasonable. Other than Boulder Station’s Saturday tourney, the Rampart’s is arguably the best mini-tournament in Las Vegas. See the events calendar for additional details.
