I have just updated Rampart's Thursday $1000 tournament in the event calendar. It's double deck. 1st Prize is $1000 (based on 80 or more entries) 2nd 40% of Balance 3rd 25% of Balance 4th 15% of Balance 5th 12% of Balance 6th 8% of Balance It's a well run tournament in a beautiful hotel-casino. Lunch buffet is above average and resonable. Ask me. I have some 2 for 1 (or 1/2) tickets which you can have---while my supply lasts
2 for 1 tickets-Rampart I agree with you...the buffet is way above average..very good indeed...I'll take those tickets you are offering...I am on welfare and need the help!!!!

Food Coupons Mikey are you Ok in one post you say that if it wasnt for tournaments that you would be on welfare and now you are saying you are on it. Im confused . Joep
Rampart BJ Thursday Tournement Nice tournament. Good payouts. Four 1st rounds, with 24 players per round; 96 players max. $25 buy-in ($25 re-buy). Payouts as follows, with a full 96 players: 1st - $1000 2nd - $560 3rd - $350 4th - $210 5th - $168 6th - $112 First round starts at 10:00 am, and each round is 45 minutes after the start of previous round.
In complete agreement A really nice casino (especially compared to sister property Cannery) and mini tournament. I played Rampart last Thursday for the first time and came away with :2nd: (yeah, they give you a real trophy to go along with the cash for 1st and 2nd place--a nice added touch). Should I wear a name tag the next time? Edited the event calender to clarify, I hope, Opus21 update (and the written rules) decription as to how the 'wildcard' seats are awarded. Rather than an actual wildcard drawing, the highest of the 4 second-place finishers in each session advances directly along with the table winners to the semis. In the semis the 2 highest of the 4 runners up advance to the final along with the table winners.
Congrat's Jackaroo Way to go Jackaroo, 2nd place not to bad. Tell the Mrs. hi for me, hope to see ya'll soon.
Thanks Rick. I made the trip for the Sunset Station invitational last week ($6k for first). Went out 2 days early (2 free nites on a mailer coupon from Flamingo) and played minis as a warmup at Sahara and Rampart. I hit the Sahara straight away from the airport and was able to get in the 2nd session of Round 1. Well, I started out on a roll--making the final table both days (5th @ Sahara) and was really hyped up for a three-fer in the Sunset Station event. Alas, 'twas not to be. With 250 entries, it was only one advance from each qualifying round table and I wasn't one of 'em. We had a great time, connecting with my relatives from Burbank (you remember they went on last year's cruise with us). Between the two hotels I was able to string together 3 promos for 7 consecutive comped room nites--a record for me! Hope to meet up with ya'll later this year. --jr
