    Seattle

Although I have airline and hotel reservations, I am probably not going to Seattle. Frankly the investment of dollars and time are simply not worth the potential return based on the two Laughlin events.

What Rick needs to do, is find a permanent home for his tournaments preferably in Vegas, at a hotel casino. If he needs to take it on the road, it should be no more frequent than say once a quarter, like Laughlin in January, and Seattle in July.

People from all the world come to Vegas to play BJ. They don't go to Laughlin, and they don't go to Seattle, or Mississippi, or where ever.

A permanent home in Vegas would allow for strong local promotion, as well as continueing promotion by the host hotel. It would also provide a basis for room comps for the players. I would think a second tier hotel, like maybe the Sahara would be perfect for the TBJPA.

sad to hear that you are not coming to visit seattle, since you already have reservations. it is worth the trip even if you do not play bjt. just to let you know, even if you do not play in a tbjpa event, one can resonably play up to 13 tourneys in a weeks time. be glad to show you the locations. not knowing where you live, (even if it is in vegas), i do not know that you can play in this many tourneys in that time period

i know vegas is supposed to be the king of everything associated with gaming. all i know, is that i live where we play bjt all the time. it would be good to see some of the pros from vegas make a journey to this area, and maybe see what is really like to grind out 2-3 tourneys a day, instead of just talking about them.

i am not in total disagreement with your idea. i would hope that we can expand bjt through proper promotion, in any major locale in this nation. maybe vegas, or laughlin has to be the anchors to get tbjpa, ubt, etc., tournaments moving forward. i am just happy to be in an area that lets me play all i want.

    Cost

I think the cost to travel must be included with the air motel room food and car rental. This must be added to the cost to play including vig. So, some of the choices on this poll are directly related, IMO.

Im sorry to say I wont be able to make it this trip but am looking forward to the Feb trip. My sister has settled in Arlington Wa. She keeps telling me she has a very nice casino down the street called the Talulip or something and we are planning a trip up in Feb.

Seattle WA TBJPA/TBT events for Feburary 2008

Barney, I already scheduled TBJPA/TBT events at Iron Horse for some time in February. I haven't scheduled the exact dates yet, I was waiting to find out what other events will be scheduled in February.

So now you can still make the TBJPA/TBT events then.

    Yes...

Thats the main reason I planned with my sis to visit in February. But, after I posted that I mentioned to my wife about our trip. She reminded me she will be delivering our 4th child on Jan 19th. She thinks it might be too soon:joker: What the hecks wrong with her! Back in the covered wagon days we men didnt have these problems!

Uhhhhhhh..... Barney.... In covered wagon days, there was no such luxury as knowing that date 5 months in advance!

BTW, congrats on #4. But perhaps one might consider a new hobby.
