I realize I am new to this board but my new hobby is talking out of school, because it really gets members of this board going.
Last weekend while I was at a tournament, that was new to me in a casino of the same, I started wondering how many of the 109 competitors were also members of the BJT.com. So my mind tends to wonder in between rounds.
So the crux of the discussion becomes… Wouldn’t be cool if we had a secret hand shake or hand sign or… or… I got it a lapel pin?
    See attachment.
It could be a set of four with different colors of “T” representing white for small tournaments, sky blue for medium tournaments, and green for large tournaments, and yellow for tournaments on your home turf.
Proceeds of the sale of these pins could go to a worthy charity whose awareness was recently raised by President Obama or to creation of our own invitational tournament.

“As a licensed engineer of the state of Confusion, I freely relinquish this information to the owners of www.blackjacktournaments.com to use the information in whatever profitable manner they see fit.”

    Good Idea

I like the idea but think some members don't want to reveal their identity. They could wear the pin and keep us guessing.
You might have been the one and only at Bettendorf. I know of at least five, including myself that have entered the Tama event. No doubt there are others that I'm not aware of.

  3. Ken had some bargains on Blackjacktournamnets.com apparal in the not too distant past. If you see some of those items being worn, you can be pretty sure that it is someone from here.

    good idea

I'd go with the gang sign -

maybe form a 'j' with one hand - then use the other with it for the 'b'

    Great Idea

    EE4...

This is great idea. I would vote for a lapel pin with perhaps an insert where members could put their screen name. So in addition to identifying people on the forum, we could also start putting faces with names.
I know in particular, I would like to see lilsissy's face.

There is no way in hell I'm wandering around in a public place with "LEFTNUT" plastered on my shirt, or hat, or....

    In WII bowling I am...

    ...referred to as 1balldick.

It is because I get so many strikes not that I am handicapped...

I vote for a pin and it could say...

Mr. Smith fan club qnd have a Ace & a Jack of hearts for a BJ. That way the members would stand out.

    Forget charity

I like the idea of a Lapel Pin for BJT.com and would buy one.

But I would only buy one from the Ken Smith shop online.

The same applies to the TBJPA and if you want to meet and greet the other players in his tournament, then Rick should sell you a badge from his site.

Tournament site owners and BJ promoters have been hit hard by the USA legislation and recession. So let us look after our own on here and make them a little money if we can.

    Why a secret?

If your going to wear something around why not just wear one of the TBJPA or BJT.com shirts and or caps? I still have some caps and I'm sure Ken has some as well and if not we can always order more if anyone wants them.

    Support ken and rick

I think it's a great idea for members of this site to support rick and ken for the work they do for all of us.buying shirts and caps from them that they can make a little money for there efforts is very fair. I already have ken's stuff but need some of ricks. I will wear kens shirt and ricks hat to tournaments or vise versa, depending on what's clean. Hope others do the same...:):

    Lapel Pin

The pin would be great. How about a small flag to denote the country or state of the wearer as well as the BJ symbol.:)
