If you are sitting on the fence about playing the Hilton MD 3 this month as of Saturday the 18th they only had 60 players........Good luck to any of our members who will be playing

    85

As of today they have 85 signed up I was told! Still that is for sure into the 2nd round and 48 of those into the quarterfinals (over 50% of the field.)
Most of the players are headed to Tunica for the Bally's tournament this weekend so I don't expect many more to sign up for the LV Hilton this weekend.

Las Vegas Hilton holding at 85.

I just called and the LV Hilton is still at only 85 players for this weekend qualifier. I was told with 100 or less they would cancel the first round, meaning you only need to win or come in second (on your table) for two rounds to qualify for the May finals.

With only 85 players the second round would only have four players per table and 48 of the 85 will make the third round (that is over 56% of the field.)

With odds this good it might be worth making some last minute travel plans.

    85 and holding!

This weeks LV Hilton is still holding at 85 players as of 10:00 am Vegas time today. Even if they have a last minute rush I don't see them having over 100 players this month.

Good luck to Chipsmccoy this weekend, he is the only one I know playing at the LV Hilton this weekend.

Hollywood Dave just told me due to his "Celeb. BJ" filming he will be unable to make this weekend qualifier as planned.

yes... i was really looking forward to it (especially now since the turnout is so low) but due to the Emmys last Sunday, the last shoot date for "Celebrity Blackjack" has been moved to this Sunday... where we'll be playing the last qualifying match, both semifinals, and the final game for a 1st prize of $250,000 for charity! Pretty cool... of course, after Sunday i will know exactly how Tiki felt on the last shoot day of the WSoBJ, when we didn't finish up til the wee hours of the morning!

Speaking of Tiki, where o where is our little blackjack muse now... if only the next tournament's grand prize was a single date with her... i would cross an ocean for just another sidelong glance from darling, darling Tiki... if only to steal a few precious moments from the bitter Connecticut night.

ps GOOD LUCK to everyone @ the Hilton this weekend! Remember to always split those aces & eights! :)

    Late rush!

The LV Hilton had a late rush of players go all the way up to 104 players...LOL.

I feel sorry for the only four players that don't make it to the 2nd round, that would really suck...LOL! But that didn't happen, they just started with round two.

I was told they played 16 tables of 5 and 4 tables of 6 in round number two which started today so all 104 players were in round two (it was like having 24 wild cards).

One of our regulars won his table today (Chipsmccoy), way to go Chips! Only one more round to advance to May's final, Good Luck.

Other players I heard are in this months qualifier are Bradley Peterson, Lupe Sherman, Carl and Margrite Cox. We wish all of you good luck.
