Using the KO Count and spreading from 1-10, betting from $3.00 to $30.00 (I am not a high roller :)) What kind of bankroll should I bring for each session?

I have been starting with $70.00, and It seems I lose It to fast when the table is cold.

    Thanks,

    Slim

Thirty times your maximum bet = $900. x10 bankroll for a 5% risk of ruin = $9,000 in the bank. With $70 session you only need to lose one max bet double down to end your night. Won't get very far with that. And its quite likely you will totally lose two or three sessions. Are you prepared to lose $2,700 and keep on playing?

For the record, I DO NOT COUNT CARDS. I am not a card counter and don't know what a KO Count is. I don't believe it is possible to keep track of six decks of cards and don't know how people do it. My advice above is for anyone that steps up to a blackjack table and wants to avoid the chance of busting out on a negative swing.

When you count cards, you do not keep track of every individual cards value  . You assign a value to particular cards like +1 or -1 depending on the system. Keeping track of six decks is actually not any harder then keeping track of one ;) .
Anyway, my question is, how much money should you bring to the table when you are betting with a bet spread of $3.00 to $30.00 (A 1 to 10 spread.)

    Thanks,

    Slim :)

My terms might be messed up. What I mean by a session is how much should I risk when I sit down at a table. (How much should I lose at one session of play before I walk away  ).

    Thanks again,

    Slim

Slim, be careful about giving away personal information on this forum. Casino managers can read our posts just as easily as anyone else and will bar you from playing if they can identify you as a counter.

Counting or not, you should approach a table with 30 times your maximum bet. In your case, $900. With that amount you will be able to handle most negative swings and play until you are exhausted and can't see the cards any longer. But even with an advanced counting system there is still about a 1 in 5 chance you will lose the entire $900 in one night.

Other people here are better with the computer generated numbers, maybe one of them can chime in.

Slim, without looking up "ROR" numbers, my experience has been that 10 max bets is generally suffiecient for a day trip playing dd games. I would double that number for a shoe game. Don Schlesinger's book "Blackjack Attack" has tables that can tell you bankroll requirements and "ROR" for most any game. I'm sure it can be ordered through one of Ken's sites (Ken, I'll be looking for my commission on this sale). :)

As for your question of when to leave? When the game deteriorates or when you no longer want to play. W/L should not be the determining factor. Generally, I play about 45 minutes per property, then leave regardless of the outcome.
