Swog just called me before the start of the finals. It is a very good showing for this site, three members made the final table. Ken Smith, Robert Blechman, and Jim P. Note: Robert was eliminated in the semi's, but was drawn into the finals as the lone wild card. I'll post the end results later today.
Sheraton update Okay here we go: 7th place....Ken Smith 2nd place...Jim P. 1st. Robert Blechman I also heard that a couple of the St. Louis Mafia (Global-Player of fame) also placed in the finals of this tournament. Hopefully other members of the Mafia will post the names and how they placed. Congrat's to all the finalist and Robert for winning it all.
Sheraton Tunica One of our own's finest from Global-Player,, , Jascan has won 4th place at Sheraton, Tunica..His real name is John S. He left with $10,000.00 prize. He is from St. Louis, Mo, part of the STL Mafia! Congrats to all who won,! It was a great trip and a fun time.... It was finally a pleasure meeting all the folks from Global -Player and putting faces with names.... And thanks too for letting me take your pictures! Sooz/Soozziec
Arrgghh. At a very conservative final table, I decided to move early, even though I was set to have last bet. Blechman was the only aggressive player early. He got an early lead, and I made a bet to chase him and lost. Then, a few hands later, I could go all-in with my $600 bankroll and get a $12.50 lead if I win it. Instead, I'm first out, with 12 hands to go. Oh well, maybe next time. This was a really well-run event for the first ever at Sheraton. They're planning to pick up a full schedule of 3 events a year. Just like Adolf's previous events at Bally's, this event had $25,000 added by the casino. This was an outstanding event, and well worth a trip for everyone next time around. The next event dates aren't set yet, but expect something in April or May. Kudos to the whole crew at the Sheraton.
Good and bad It's great you made the finals, but I know your disapointed in your finish. If your big bets hit we would have been congratulating your win, still all and all you cashed out and that is more then about 177 other players in the tournament. Blackjacktournaments.com was well represented in the finals (4 of the 7) nice showing everyone.
