    Hello,

Apologies if this question has been asked recently, but I didn't see it in the recent threads:

While I know each casino might be "different" at times, is there generally a custom in tourneys that are dealt single- or double-deck to shuffle after every hand? every second hand? after every 30-round hand? something else? I've never played in a single- or double-deck tourney, so I'm clueless. Also, is most single- and double-deck tourney blackjack dealt face down?

Also, in casino (non-tourney) blackjack, I'm assuming that most single- and double-deck BJ is dealt face down--correct?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

These games are traditionally dealt face down. Double down cards are dealt face down, unless the hand is a possible busting hand. Then they are traditionally dealt face up.

Most single deck tournaments that I have played have specifically set rules to shuffle every other round.

Double deck tournaments are dealt just like the live games, with most casinos using a cut-card to determine when to shuffle.

I have played at 5 casinos with single deck

    tournaments using single deck

Riverside Resort dealt twice to a full table. (deep pen with fewer). That is about as far as you can go. Also, it was face up for an accumulation tournament. I think this is how all BJTs should be dealt, to the bone single deck face up. I would add surrender which Riverside doesnt allow.

    Edgewater shuffle every round

Pioneer dealt like Riverside but face down.

    Golden Nugget shuffle every round.

    Avi shuffled every round
